Nyatapola – 5 Storey Temple



Nyatapola is a 5-Storey Temple in Bhaktapur build by Malla King Bhupatindra Malla during 1701-1702 AD. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Siddhi Lashami, Hindu Goddess of Prosperity. There are pair of idols placed as we climb up the stairs who are regarded as the guardians of the temple.

Standing at 30m, Nyatapola is the highest pagoda temple in Nepal. Despite said to be built at very short time of 5 months, it is one of most beautiful, artistically designed & strongly built temple which withstood powerful earthquake of 1934.
