Pokhara is second city of Nepal, which lies 200 km from Kathmandu. The green forests, beautiful lakes & rivers and views of Himalayan ranges makes it one of the popular destination of Nepal outside Kathmandu.
Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world — Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu are within 30 miles of the city, which provides great mountain view besides Fishtail mountain. Besides mountain, another attraction of Pokhara is lakes. Phewa lake is second largest lake of Nepal, where visitors can boat around and visit the Barahi temple in the middle of the lake.
Other attractions include Mahendra cave, a limestone cave which is also called house of bats and Devi’s fall, where Phewa lake drains into the Pardi Khola and disappears underground and emerges about 200 m away.
